Character Illustrations

For me the character features as an interactive element for my environment so I wanted the designs to be really strong. These design also helped me get some illustrator experience and helped to influence the environment designs for my first style aesthetic.

This is the sort of colour palette that I usually use when experimenting. I like the pastel palletes and think it's a nice way to create depth. I use my line work a lot to do the same.

This style was a good reference point for aesthetic 1 however I think I will struggle to create a whole environment in this way...

This is a quick sketch I did for the Low Poly style I was also thinking of. Taking into consideration the wise old man archetype I wanted to create, I looked a creating something simple yet emotive.
